The Virtuoso Pianist – Hanon
Another relaxing evening at home~ after dinner, I decided to play the piano for a bit. Some old music books (and children’s song books) resurfaced and I sang them out loud to my lil bro, so many childhood memories! XD
Back to classicals, I still get frustrated when I cannot play songs with many octaves. However, I did have fun playing pieces from a Hanon book my piano teacher gave me around 10 odd years ago. Billy then joined me with Hanon later in the night. Hmm…. gotta practice more to improve my technique… 4th and 5th fingers are far too weak.
Hanon pieces are fun but crazy when it gets up to M.M 108 I can only get up to around M.M 80 This Hanon book is nearly brand new, I only played up to the 6th piece or so. Look forward to working over this book in 2009!!
