Lenten Program 2009 – Grace to You
(補貼) As Lent and Easter approaches, the Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane have this Lenten program available for groups to conduct weekly bible studies to prepare our hearts for the holy season. Tonight we went to sister’s place at St. Paul’s and did the program for the first week. There was scripture reading and meditation looking at a rainbow painting. This session helped me remind of God’s covenant with us humans, and that Jesus is the Good News. I’ve now tied the multi-coloured ribbon sister gave us onto my bag, so I will remember God wherever I go.
Grace to you and peace … (Romans 1:7)
(text blowbelow from Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane web site)
Grace to you is part of the greeting in every letter we have that Paul sent to the early Christian communities. Paul was reminding those communities of God’s generous gifts and also challenging each person to be a channel of God’s abundant grace, love and peace to those they met and shared their lives with.
The season of Lent calls us to metanoia, to turn around our lives, to ‘let go and let God’ with an attitude of openness, vulnerability and trust.
