昨晚剛從墨爾本回到布市. 想起昨天Jane彈的一首我們教會青年很喜歡的一首歌: 《暖》通常我們只唱半首, 然後把除免世罪的羔羊加到後面. 以下是《暖》的歌詞. 不過我們教會青年唱的版本只能在FB看到.

Love Me Accapella

Recently Carlos introduced some new songs to me – Acapella. Songs that are sung using pure vocals only, usually without any any instrumental accompaniment at all.

This reminds me of our high school “choir”… maybe they were trying to do Acapella songs, as many of their songs were pure vocals. But I can always remember that guy in the group… his voice stood out too much and didn’t blend in with the rest, didn’t work out too well back then :S

The song below (lyrics), Love Me Accapella, is sung by Janice Wei 衛蘭, a female singer in HK. I didn’t know it was her when I listened to the song until I looked it up. She has no Asian accent in her voice whatsoever. Beautiful voice. Listen to it when you get a chance.

WYD 08 Theme Song – Receive the Power

This is the theme song of WYD 08 – “Receive the Power” by Guy Sebastian. There’s also an international version. During the week, whenever the international version is sung, not everyone knows how to sing the full version, so we only “hum” the verses and then sing the chorus. The song sets the atmosphere for prayer. This song was in the background when we farewelled Carlos from our group the last day… Thank God for World Youth Day and for us to receive the power of the Holy Spirit! I’m sure we all had a wonderful time and learned a lot spiritually in the past week.

Tonight’s class we went through the lyrics of this song by SMAP “世界に一つだけの花”. It’s so meaningful that this song is being sung in Japanese schools. Nice tune too!

Defining 「一人一人いくつも種をもつ」 (abstract from an external web site)
「一人一人違う種をもつ、その花を咲かせることだけに一生懸命なればいい・・・・」
　この歌は、私が勤務する小学校でも何度か特別な日に子どもたちによって歌われました。「１年生を迎える会」では、５年生の子どもたちが入学してきたばかりのピカピカ１年生に「いろんなことにチャレンジし、すてきな花を咲かせてください。」と歓迎の言葉とともにこの歌を送ってくれました。また、人権集会では、「みんな違って、みんないい」とそれぞれの個性を認め合い、自分に自信を持って花を咲かせていこうとこの歌を全校合唱しました。輝かしい未来がある子どもたちが歌うと「世界に一つだけの花」を咲かせようと自尊感情を抱きながら互いにエールを送り合う気持ちが、素直にこの歌詞に託されていきます。もちろん４０代の私にとっても、共感できるすてきな歌詞であることには、相違ありません。でも、ほんの少し歌詞を変えることができるなら、こんな風にしたいかな・・・

　鳴門教育大学院に入学したのは、３０歳代最後の年。入学を決めたのは、おそらく、この歌詞のような気持ちが動機になっていたように思えます。本来、大学院へは、学問に対する強い目的意識をもって入学すべきなのでしょうが、私の場合まだ見ぬ自分との出会いを何よりの楽しみとし、不安よりもワクワクした気持ちを抱いて入学したというのが本音です。さて、これを読んでくださる皆さんは、大学院の２年間、私がこのワクワクした気持ちを、失うことなく持ち続け送ることができたと思いますか？そして、まだ見ぬ花を咲かせることはできたかどうか、気にかかるところでしょう。そこで、このワクワク度の変化を振り返りながら、大学院での生活や学んだことの一部を紹介してみたいと思います。

Now, let’s compare the past 2 Olympic Theme Songs…. Personally, I think musical from Athens 2004 was so much better. I’m not criticizing the Chinese version, but it’s just that it… lacks something…. you’d expect the chorus to be “explosive”, but it doesn’t give you that effect. The theme song at Athens was definitely “EXPLOSIVE”! Just like the song’s name.

周杰倫又要出新電影啦~ 這次是他自導自演的耶.
其實周杰倫的電影, 我只看過一部 – “頭文字D”. 而且是在飛機上看的.
另外的 “尋找周杰倫” 和 “黃金甲”, 我到現在還沒看…. :o
明年好像也會有新的電影出來? 電影名叫 “灌籃”….
看什麼時候, 一定要全部看完才行!!!
