Afternoon in Inala
This arvo our family went to Inala for lunch~ haven’t been there for food since N years ago… the area has changed so much! I ordered a Vietnamese rice vermicelli for lunch, asked what it was called, the guy said “bomb” with a high accent. Sounds like a big stone falling into the water -_-” anyway… photo on the right is just an online illustration, I forgot to take a photo of the real thing.
Had a walk around the shopping center and the fish shops. The seafood really is quite fresh, better than Sunnybank. No wonder people would drive all the way to Inala just to buy some fish. They even have a second-hand furniture shop! Gosh I feel like I don’t know Brissy very well at all :S Nevertheless it was a nice shopping trip out with my family. Love them.
Rainbow Conrad Treasury Casino
Can’t believe I didn’t arrive home till around 9:40pm tonight!! I’m exhausted…
One or two weeks ago on my way to class, my car stopped at the traffic lights after crossing the bridge. I then saw the colourful flashing lights around the Conrad Treasury Casino - such a beautiful display! Well, since I stopped right in front of it, might as well record it and upload it hey? I think that might have been a River Fires preparation thing… because I haven’t seen these colourful lights after the fireworks. On the contrary, what grabbed my attention post-River Fires was the giant white ferris wheel at Southbank. It reminds me of the ferris wheel at Sea World and the one at Osaka. Maybe all cities will eventually have a ferris wheel of their own…
FYI: The music in the background is an old song by Kinki Kids being played in the car, and the clicking sound is my signal light for turning right…
Sorrowful Narrow-Mind’s
Some people in this world are so, so, VERY narrow-minded, that it’s really sad to see them like that :S All I can do is pray for them… and I wish I can help them more…
This seems to occur more with girls/ladies who still act like junior high school kids, and occasionally with boys/guys who read too much of those whatever novels/poems you call them. It’s the way they do things and react to events that distinguish stingy people.
Some traits of this kind of people… they:
- don’t realise it themselves
- think they’re awesome
- think they’re “innocent”
- think they’re the sufferers
- take people for granted
- take things for granted
- like to ignore people
- jealous of others
- do things out of spite
- think the whole world treats them badly
- may think they’re more “superior”
- lack respect in general
- don’t believe they’re spoiling the mood for everyone
- have many versions of the same event
- tell lies to cover up their lies
- persuade themselves that what they’re doing is right
And sarcastically, some of these are traits of the terrorist mind… @Q@ also with suicide bombers.

テンション低い
週末ほんとに忙しかったから、今日ちょっと元気じゃありません。。。
仕事も。。。どうして夜に電話をしなければなりませんか?
ビジネスだから。。。時差があるから。。。時々これをするのが大丈夫と思う;
Healthy Alternatives to Watching “TV”
tel·e·vi·sion (těl’ə-vĭzh’ən) n.
- The transmission of dynamic or sometimes static images, generally with accompanying sound, via electric or electromagnetic signals.
- An electronic apparatus that receives such signals, reproducing the images on a screen, and typically reproducing accompanying sound signals on speakers.
- The visual and audio content of such signals.
- The industry of producing and broadcasting television programs.
(from television. (n.d.). The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition. Retrieved August 24, 2008, from Dictionary.com website: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/television)
So, by definition, “television” or “TV” (short) can be anything device or means that transmit multimedia; or it can refer to the industry that produces this kind of media.
Ever since the Internet became a popular phenomenon, there is evidence that young people are watching TV less and would spend more time on the Internet instead. However, both activities have one common thing: you either sit still in front of the TV, or you sit still in front of the computer. There are many alternatives to watching TV. Some healthy alternatives include going outdoors and do some physical activity. Some less-healthy alternatives to TV are to encourage people to watch on-demand TV through the Internet.
Queensland Youth Choir - Red Earth ‘08
This afternoon we went to see a Queensland Youth Choir (QYC) performance. This is the third or fourth time I’ve been to their shows. The previous QYC shows I went to were the Gala night and the the Police Commissioner’s Christmas Carols.
I really enjoyed the beginning when the Stella Voce choir performed their song. The choreography suits the song well. Then we had the Bambino Music group come up… Basically, it’s a “baby’s choir”. Mum’s and dad’s standing on the stage with their kids/babies (I think one of them were 14 months old??) I could swear that I saw a baby fall asleep during the performance…. :S

The Poco Voco group performance was alright. But I didn’t like it how it was an adult singing most of the part, and the kids were only singing the chorus. Maybe that was how it was meant to be, but it wasn’t that great… Somehow I don’t remember much about the Vivace Voices group…
The Voice Works choir is by far the best I’ve ever seen - both the singing and choreography are outstanding. In Channel 7’s “Battle of the Choirs” earlier this year, Voice Works was a semi finalist in the competition.

Overall, I think the show wasn’t as good as the Gala night I went last year. With today’s “Red Earth” show, they had the choirs from Cannon Hill Anglican College also performing. OMG how terrible were they… they’re not singing properly and the volume was too low. And, they have no manners at all. There were people chatting or whispering to each other on stage during the performance and when the audience were clapping their hands. They move around a lot, making weird faces. With one of their choirs, like 10 people coughed right before a song, and they thought it was really funny. Come on, this is a public performance people. I didn’t pay to watch this kinda sh*t.
